Afrobeat singer and instrumentalist, Made Kuti, has explained why he chose not to follow the trend of kneeling down to propose marriage to his wife, Inedoye Adanne Kuti (née Onyenso).
He justified the decision while appearing as a guest on the latest episode of the Timeless Podcast, which aired recently on the Nix Network YouTube channel.

Addressing attendees at the glamorous event, the Grammy-nominated artist revealed that his wife used to be his “school daughter”.
However, speaking on the show, the 30-year-old singer said he did not go down on one knee when he proposed to Inedoye because tying the knot was a mutual decision rather than one person begging the other.
Made said: “I did not go down on my knees when proposing to my wife because I told her it was a mutual decision. We are not begging each other to be with each other.”
