Despite falling short of the spectacular showpiece anticipated by fans, City’s narrow win added the FA Cup to the Carabao Cup they won in March, when they beat Arsenal 2-0.

Pep Guardiola’s men also remain two points behind the Gunners in the Premier League with just two fixtures left.
