Members of the Forum of Former Political Appointees (FFPA) in Ondo State have commended Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for what they described as impactful and responsive leadership within his first year in office.

In a congratulatory message marking the anniversary, the forum applauded the administration for commissioning numerous projects across the state, noting that the achievements have boosted public confidence in governance.

The group highlighted strides in infrastructural development, particularly road dualisation projects, improved healthcare delivery through upgraded primary health centres, and renewed investment in the education sector.

They also acknowledged efforts in rural electrification and prudent management of state resources, describing them as critical to grassroots development and economic stability.

While praising the administration’s performance, the forum expressed appreciation for the payment of seven months’ salary arrears owed to its members, describing the move as a major relief after years of financial hardship.

According to the group, the settlement of the outstanding salaries accrued under previous administrations demonstrates the governor’s commitment to transparency, accountability and humane governance.

They noted that the intervention restored hope among members and helped ease the burden on families who had endured prolonged financial strain.

In an earlier correspondence, the group had also requested an audience with the governor to discuss issues affecting its members, including political developments and their potential role in mobilising support for the administration.

They reiterated their readiness to contribute meaningfully to governance and political stability in the state, noting that their members are spread across all 18 local government areas.

The forum also appealed to His Excellency for the settlement of their severance allowances that are long overdue. They said very few of the  forum members have secured favourable court judgement on their unpaid severance allowances and have since collected their benefit.

Despite the concerns, the former appointees reaffirmed their support for the Aiyedatiwa administration and urged the governor to sustain the current pace of development.

The group also offered prayers for the governor’s continued good health, wisdom and success in steering the affairs of the state.
