Lauretta Onochie, a former aide to the late President Muhammadu Buhari, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of defrauding several aspirants ahead of the party’s National Convention.
She made the serious allegation on Tuesday in a post shared on her X (formerly Twitter) page.
The APC is expected to begin the screening of aspirants seeking various national offices at its National Convention on Tuesday, 24 March 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

Speaking ahead of the event, Onochie alleged that the ruling party refused to issue forms to certain aspirants after collecting substantial sums of money from them.
She further alleged that “whatever President Bola Tinubu touches, he destroys.”
Writing via her verified handle, she said: “How did the APC become a ‘419’ political association? Across the nation, APC aspirants are paying huge amounts of money for forms, but the APC refuses to give them the forms they have paid for.
”They have already nominated the candidates but are still selling forms. This is not democracy. This is fraud. Whatever Tinubu touches, he destroys.”
