Renowned gospel singer Busola Oke, popularly known for her song ‘Eleyele’, has raised concerns on social media following an emotional outburst.
In a now-trending video on TikTok, the artiste, who appeared visibly distressed, was seen weeping over the difficulties she is currently facing in her career.
Lamenting that she is lonely and broke, she accused colleagues and close associates of abandoning her, noting that she no longer has peace of mind.
Apologising to her fans for undisclosed decisions she is about to make, Busola said: “I’m done. I never planned to do this, but I can’t take it anymore.
“Gifts can’t do anything for you in Nigeria; no, no. To my fans, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry. I never planned to do this but I can’t take it anymore. I’m done, I’m done, I’m done. Good music doesn’t sell anymore.

“How can you eat when there’s no food? How can you drive when there’s no car? How can you be at peace when there’s no peace? How can you hug somebody—how can you not feel alone when you are alone? When the going was good, there were so many people.”
Busola Oke, who relocated to the United Kingdom before eventually returning to Nigeria in 2016, is also known for hit songs such as ‘Ogo Tuntun’, ‘Asoro Ma Tase’, ‘Alanu’, and ‘Adaba’.
In a 2017 interview, she reflected on the unexpected success of her signature track, revealing she had no idea it would become a hit because the rehearsal had been recorded and produced.
During that time, she also dismissed rumours of a crisis in her marriage.
