APC won the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Abaji, Kuje, Bwari, and Kwali, leaving only Gwagwalada to the PDP.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, and other party chieftains have received five of the newly elected chairmen for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) area councils.
This development was disclosed on Monday in a post shared on the ruling party’s X (formerly Twitter) handle, @OfficialAPCNg.
“The APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, alongside the Chairman of the APC National Campaign Council, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, other members of the Campaign Council leadership, and the Party’s National Working Committee (NWC), received the newly elected Chairmen of the FCT Area Councils,” the statement read.

On Sunday, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared that candidates of the ruling party had won five councils, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secured one.
However, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), the party housing the coalition of opposition leaders, failed to win any of the councils.
The APC won the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Abaji, Kuje, Bwari, and Kwali, leaving only Gwagwalada to the PDP.
