Afrobeats singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, better known as Portable, has stated that he does not require the support of his colleague, Olamide, or other music promoters to excel, claiming, “I’m bigger than everybody.”
The controversial artist made these remarks in a recent video broadcast while reacting to claims that top music industry figures in Nigeria have blacklisted him.
The friction began when popular social media influencer Tunde Perry claimed to have attended a meeting where several top music executives allegedly blacklisted Portable for gross misconduct.
According to Perry, the “Zazu” singer’s unruly behaviour has not only landed him in the bad books of industry leaders but has also negatively impacted the chances of up-and-coming artists.
He further disclosed that ace rapper and music executive Olamide is now sceptical about assisting rising talent due to his experience with Portable, who reportedly turned against him after receiving assistance on his breakthrough track, ‘Zazu Zeh’.

Reacting to these claims, Portable lashed out at Tunde Perry, Olamide, and the executives involved.
He also boasted that he does not need the backing of any music executive to succeed, asserting that his fans are sufficient.
He further claimed to be a more significant figure in the industry than the promoters and artists who allegedly blacklisted him.
Speaking in the trending clip, Portable said: ”I am bigger than them. Who are those who want to blacklist me? I heard Tunde Perry said Olamide and his circle of music executives called for me to be blacklisted. Are you guys my fans or my God? Are you feeding me?
”I have my own fans. I am bigger than any f***ing person. Anyone who wants to help you won’t stress you. Don’t use the assistance you gave me in the past to stress me. Are you the only one who has ever assisted me?
”There are a lot of people who helped me without stressing me. Why would you say they shouldn’t play my songs again? Olamide, don’t mess with me. If you mess with me, I will return the energy. Stay in your own lane.”
