‘Where does he play?’ – NBA star Edwards shades Ronaldo

American basketball shooting guard Anthony Edwards, popularly known as “Ant-Man”, recently mocked Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo, claiming he does not know who the 41-year-old striker is.

The NBA star, who was sporting a Lionel Messi Argentina national team jersey, aimed the dig at the Al-Nassr player on Sunday while speaking at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.

The 24-year-old’s comment followed the NBA All-Star game, in which he was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) after his USA Stars defeated the USA Stripes 47–21.

Asked whether he knew Ronaldo at the game, Edwards was quoted by Sportskeeda as saying: “Cristiano Ronaldo, who’s that? I can’t f*ck with him! Where does he play?”

The debate over who is the superior player between Ronaldo—who currently plays his club football for Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr—and Argentine star Messi—who plies his trade in the United States with MLS side Inter Miami—continues to divide opinion among football fans.

This comes as supporters of both forwards, who have won 13 Ballon d’Or awards between them, view their respective icons as the greatest players in football history.
