The former Governor of Kaduna State and chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Nasir El-Rufai, has honoured an invitation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
He had been invited for questioning regarding alleged corruption linked to his administration as governor.
He arrived at the headquarters of the anti-graft agency on Monday, accompanied by hundreds of supporters.
This follows the former governor’s earlier refusal to submit to security agencies at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, last Thursday.
In a series of interviews granted after the airport incident, El-Rufai accused the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, of orchestrating the attempted arrest.
