Rashford moved to Barcelona from the Premier League side on loan during the summer transfer window after falling out of favour with former manager Ruben Amorim.

The England attacker has since impressed, registering nine goals and 12 assists in 31 appearances across all competitions for the La Liga giants.

According to Miguelsanz, following the 28-year-old forward’s impressive performances, Barcelona have made a “unanimous” decision to pay the fee required to keep Rashford on a permanent contract.

He wrote: “Barça will use the €30 million option to buy the player permanently in a deal that won’t be negotiated, because Manchester United won’t reduce their asking price by even one euro.

“The Catalan club thinks this price is fair and not too high, considering the player’s skills and the market value of similar players in this position, which could rise significantly.”

Prior to this, Rashford had ruled out a return to Manchester United, rejecting renewed interest from his boyhood club in favour of continuing his career at Barcelona.

According to a report by The Touchline, the forward is said to be unconvinced by United’s current sporting direction and believes his ambitions are better aligned with Barcelona’s long-term project.

He views the Catalan club as a stable environment capable of challenging for major European honours, with head coach Hansi Flick playing a decisive role in that confidence.

United’s interest in him has reportedly intensified following recent changes within the club’s managerial structure.

Interim head coach Michael Carrick is understood to have personally reached out to Rashford, identifying him as a key figure in plans to rebuild United’s attacking identity ahead of next season.
