Legendary French tactician, Arsène Wenger, has claimed his former team, Arsenal, are currently the best club in the world.

​He made this known recently during an interview with CNN in Doha, Qatar.

​Arsenal are currently leading both the English Premier League (EPL) and their UEFA Champions League (UCL) group table.

​While they lead the Premier League table by five points, they have won all their Champions League matches so far.

​Mikel Arteta’s side are considered favourites to win both titles this season.

​When asked to assess the current Arsenal team, Wenger, who guided the North London club to three league titles and several FA Cups, said he is a fan of the outfit..

​The 76-year-old was quoted as saying (via HITC): “They [Arsenal] don’t need me, but I’m a big supporter.

​“Of course. They are the best team at the moment.”

​Wenger left Arsenal in 2018. Despite his enviable feats at the English club, he failed to win a Champions League trophy.
