The Ondo state government has said that it has begun intensified efforts to develop new standards that will elevate service delivery, strengthen internally generated revenue (IGR), and expand employment opportunities for young people across the state.

This commitment was reaffirmed by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon. Idowu Ajanaku, during a working visit by the newly appointed Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Signage, Mr. Yomi Oyekan, who met with the Ministry to discuss strategies for repositioning the state’s outdoor advertising sector.

The meeting highlighted the government’s determination to harness modern technology and strategic partnerships to overhaul the outdoor advertising landscape. As reforms progress, stakeholders expect a more transparent, structured, and commercially viable environment for signage and advertisement operations across Ondo State.

Oyekan outlined the administration’s new direction aimed at making the Ondo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OSSAA) a model of efficiency and professionalism.

According to him, effective collaboration among ministries, departments and agencies will be crucial to improving advertising standards, enhancing service delivery, and supporting the state’s broader modernisation agenda.

“The OSSAA is set to play a pivotal role in reshaping how outdoor media is managed in Ondo State,” Oyekan said.
“We are looking at every possible avenue to ensure that our signage not only meets international best practices but also contributes to the state’s revenue and job creation goals.”

To bolster public engagement, Oyekan also unveiled the agency’s official social-media platforms, which will provide updates on policy initiatives, showcase projects, and create interactive channels for stakeholders:
