Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has made it clear to Arsenal coach, Mikel Arteta and his lads, that they are not the English Premier League (EPL) champions and have yet to win the title.

He made this known while speaking ahead of Manchester City’s crunchy Super Sunday’s clash against Liverpool at the Etihad.

Arsenal on Saturday failed to extend their lead at the top of the EPL table after Sunderland forced them to a 2-2 draw at the Stadium of Light.

The result means the Gunners are only six points ahead of second-placed Chelsea.

Arsenal, however, maintain a seven-point lead over City and are eight points beyond Liverpool, who are the current holders of the trophy.

Although Guardiola admits Arsenal look “unbelievable,” he has insisted the title race is not over.

He also reminded the north London club that they are not the reigning champions of the EPL.

“On Sunday we play against, right now, the champions,” Guardiola said.
He added, “Arsenal is not the champion; the champion is Liverpool. They come here to defend the title. We experienced that.

“And it’s a chance to prove ourselves against the last champions of the Premier League, what is our level, and I’m so excited to play.”
