Celtic head coach, Brendan Rodgers, has disclosed that Kelechi Iheanacho might have picked up a hamstring injury during his team’s UEFA Europa League 2-1 victory over Austrian club, Sturm Graz on Thursday night.
He made this known while providing an injury update on the Nigerian international after the highly intriguing match.
Iheanacho was replaced as early as the fourth minute of the European encounter due to the setback.

Speaking about the incident at his post match press briefing, Rodgers said the Super Eagles forward could be sidelined for a lengthy period.
“The first two [Iheanacho and Johnston]? It doesn’t look great. It looks like hamstrings. But okay, that’s what happens,” the Celtic boss told TNT Sports.
Iheanacho moved to Celtic Park on a free transfer this summer after terminating his contract with La Liga outfit, Sevilla.
The former Leicester striker has since the move established himself as the Scottish club’s first choice striker and his injury will be a major blow for the Hoops.
