Ahmed Musa charges Super Eagles to beat Benin on his 33rd birthday

Former Nigerian international, Ahmed Musa has charged the Super Eagles to go all out for a win against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic.

Musa gave the advice on Tuesday in a short video posted on the Super Eagles’ X page.

Nigeria will face Benin at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo today, Tuesday.

Eric Chelle’s side must win the game to stand a chance of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The West Africans are currently three points behind Benin Republic in Group C.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, Musa, who is celebrating his 33rd birthday today, reminded the players of how important the fixture is.

He went on to say that a win against the Cheetahs would be a befitting birthday gift for him.

In the now-viral post, he said, “We all know what’s at stake: win the game and wait for the other result. I know you can do it.

“This would be the best birthday gift for me, guys. I miss you all and wish you the best of luck. I know we can do it—let’s do it again today.”
