The testing will cover urban, semi-urban, and rural areas, including water sources such as boreholes, wells, streams, and public water supply systems.

The Commissioner for Ministry of Water Resources, Public Sanitation and Hygiene, Elder Ayodele Samson Akande, made this known during a meeting with environmental health officers from Ondo Central Senatorial District of the state at the Water Corporation Board Room in Alagbaka, Akure.

In a statement by the Head, Media and Publicity Unit of the Ministry, Oluwakemi Adedeji-Adeyemi stated that Akande appreciated Governor Aiyedatiwa for providing water testing kits.

According to the Commissioner, the kits would help monitor drinking water quality and reduce waterborne diseases in the state.
