Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has urged his captain, Bruno Fernandes to improve his attitude during games if he wants to improve.
He gave the advice while speaking after The Red Devils edged past West Ham in a pre-season friendly over the weekend.
Man United were below par during the 2024-25 campaign. They finished slightly above the relegation zone with just 42 points in 38 Premier League matches (11 wins, nine draws, 18 losses).
However, it was not a bad season for Fernandes, who racked up 19 goals and 19 assists in 57 games across all competitions.
Despite this, the Portugal international was heavily criticised by fans and pundits for his tendency to try and do everything himself and failure to provide leadership on the pitch.

Speaking to MUTV after Fernandes netted Man United’s two goals in their 2-1 victory over West Ham on Saturday night, Amorim said the player would be better if he addressed the attitude.
According to him, the Portuguese midfielder sometimes loses focus and gets easily frustrated during games.
“Sometimes, the problem is he gets frustrated and loses a little bit of focus of his job…” Amorim said as quoted by Independent.
“…Sometimes, he wants to help the teammates so much, it is not the best thing to do.
“They have to do their job and Bruno has, for example, to wait for the ball,” the former Sporting CP boss added.
