Ace Afrobeats singer and record label owner, David Adeleke, better known as Davido has paid tribute to his late son, Ifeanyi, who tragically passed away about three years ago.
Ifeanyi died on October 31, 2022, in a swimming pool accident at the family’s residence in Banana Island, Lagos.
Following Ifeanyi’s demise, several celebrities and notable figures, such as the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu expressed shock and extended their condolences to Davido and his family.

They also described the pain of losing a child as a profound loss that no parent should endure.
Davido later took a break from the public eye after the tragedy but later returned, and released a new album titled, “Timeless” in 2023.
Remembering the passing of his son via a heartfelt post on X(Formerly twitter), Davido wrote, “Ifeanyi David Adedeji Adeleke RIP LEGEND !!”
Meanwhile, the ‘Electricity’ crooner and his wife, Chioma, have since welcomed a set of twins since the incident.
