Osimhen holds key to Morata’s departure from Galatasaray

Galatasaray after signing Osimhen on a loan from Serie A club, Napoli last season, are trying to make the deal permanent.

Turkish giants, Galatasaray are awaiting Napoli’s nod to sign Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen on a permanent basis before sanctioning the departure of Spanish forward, Alvaro Morata.

This was disclosed on Tuesday night in a post shared by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, via his X handle.

Italian outfit, Como have all but agreed a deal for Morata to leave the Turkish champions and joint them.

However, the Spaniard will not be allowed to leave the Istanbul club, until they are able to bring in a striker.

Galatasaray are waiting to wrap up the transfer of Osimhen from Napoli, before allowing the Spaniard to depart.

Speaking on the development, via a tweet, Romano wrote: “Álvaro Morata will become new Como player from AC Milan… as soon as Victor Osimhen re-joins Galatasaray.

“The condition for Gala to break Morata loan deal and send him back to Italy is new striker to join.

“And Osimhen’s currently one step away from Gala return.”
