Ace Afrobeats singer, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, has urged all stakeholders to join hands and end the killings in Benue State, describing it as a “national emergency”.

The ‘African Queen’ crooner made the call in a video broadcast he made  following the recent massacre of some inhabitants of the North-Central state.

According to the music icon, who doubles as the Technical Adviser to the Governor of Benue State on Entertainment and Community Outreach, the attacks on the state keep recurring without any lasting solution from authorities.

He went on to express deep sorrow over the persistent violence, adding that all parties must rise above politics and personal interests and work together to end the crisis.

“My sadness, my anger, my frustration, it’s overwhelming that this keeps happening over and over again. This is no longer something we can just condemn in words. Serious action needs to be taken.

“Every stakeholder in Benue must join hands. We can end this. I believe there is a solution.”
