Aliyu Audu, the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Public Affairs, has resigned from his position.

In a letter dated June 8 and submitted through the President’s Chief of Staff, Audu stated, “I write to formally tender my resignation… effective immediately.”

Audu also acknowledged the role of former presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale, whose recommendation led to his appointment on August 26, 2023. “It has been an honour to contribute to the public communication efforts of this administration,” he added.

Ngelale resigned from his role as the spokesman for President Tinubu on 7 September 2024 to address medical issues affecting his immediate family.
