Tears flowed freely on Friday when his remains arrived St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Idiagba Titun, Akure for the funeral service at 10 am

The Bishop of Akoko Diocese, the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Rt. Reverend Jacob O. B. Bada, in his sermon titled “What is Life,” encouraged Christians to live meaningful lives.

The late Atibioke

Bishop Bada who read from Ecclesiastes 12 verses 1-8 said there was nothing in this life, “Vanity of Vanities, all is vanity saying that this was the more reason why christians should live a life of peace, transparency, sacrifice in order to have divine encounter with God.

According to him, Solomon, the writer of Ecclesiastes in the Bible, had seen it all and that we should not run after the things of the world. “He (Solomon) has described what life is for us, saying we are going back to the dust,” he said.

The clergyman noted that life without God is a life without a purpose, and a life without a purpose is a meaningless life. A meaningful death is better than a meaningless life.

“Please don’t weep for Olusoga Sofolahan. At his age, he has lived a meaningful, impactful life like Joseph of Old in the Bible despite numerous challenges he faced.

“Olusoga Sofolahan is a purposeful man. He never revenge all manners of evils do to him. He was a happy man who was in a hurry to make an impact on the lives of many. I salute his vision for Akokoland. He is gone now, but his legacies are there to see.

“As Christians, you must re-examine your life and change for good. You must also remove negative and evil thoughts from your hearts. Be positively minded and live a good life for the realisation of your destinies.” Bishop Bada added.
