Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has said that the target of his administration is to leave an enduring legacy of service and transformation in state.

Speaking during the first Executive Council Retreat for 2025, Otti said his administration has achieved modest success over the last 20 months due to determination to make a difference in the lives of the people.

He said: “Today, we held the first Executive Council Retreat for 2025 at the International Conference Centre, Umuahia. The retreat, themed “Sustaining the Momentum; Accelerating Execution,” brings together our esteemed leaders for two days of leadership exposition, interactions, and agenda-setting.

“We have achieved modest success over the last 20 months due to our determination to make a difference in the lives of our people.

“However, our aspirations are much greater. Our overarching goal is to leave an enduring legacy of service and transformation in our dear state.

“Our governance agenda, as presented in our manifesto and the development document by the Transition Council in May 2023, is designed to accelerate the socio-economic transformation of all parts of the state.

“The retreat aims to ensure we stay on the trajectory we seek and to develop a robust execution template that will drive the attainment of our strategic governance targets for the current fiscal year.

“I urge all participants to actively engage, share their thoughts, identify areas of improvement and welcome constructive feedback.

“Let us approach our assignments with a renewed sense of urgency and commitment to excellence.

“Special thanks to our resource persons, Elder Steve Oronsaye, Rev. Tony Akinyemi, Mr. Kelvin Emmanuel, Dr. Maxwell Ubah, and Mr. Chijioke Uwaegbute for their thought-provoking and insightful contributions.”
