Man refuses to sleep with his wife for 7 years, she levels similar grievances against him

A married couple have taken turns in court to blame each other’s poor hygiene for their lack of desire to have sex for seven years, which drove the man – a polygamist with four wives – to file for divorce.
Patrick Kansunwa, 59, a driver who lives in Lusaka’s Garden compound in Zambia, narrated to the Matero Local Court how he could not sleep with his wife Loveness Kakapizye because her poor hygiene drained his sexual desire for her.
Her heavy drinking coupled with smearing her dresses with faeces made him to finally decide to end their marriage of 13 years, he said.
But in turn, Kakapizye, 49, levelled similar grievances against her husband.
Kansunwa said his wife’s lack of hygiene started two years into their marriage when he started receiving calls from people that she was drinking alcohol while he was away for work, per reporting by Nigerian Tribune.
According to him, Kakapizye’s drinking habit got worse to the point that she could even stool in her clothes once drunk, and that “not even the Equatorial Guinea videos” could make him feel enticed enough to touch her.
“She is very dirty, so I started losing interest in her. My body could not be moved even if I saw her naked after a long time because I would always find her smelling bad. She even reached the extent of releasing stool in her own clothes,” Kansunwa said of Kakapizye, his fourth wife.
Wife has “fallen out of love” with her husband
Kakapizye begged to differ, revealing that Kansunwa was also a beer bender who equally left faecal matter in his boxers once intoxicated.
She complained about her husband’s abusive nature and seven years drought of his failure to touch her since 2017.
“When we got married, he beat me three days after our kitchen party for buying three new pants. He is too jealous of me. He went on and impregnated another woman when I am his fourth wife already. He even squandered his NAPSA partial withdrawal alone.
“And each time I’m washing, I find faecal matters in his boxers and his defence is always that it was because he used tissue and not water to clean himself,” she narrated.
Magistrate Harriet Mulenga granted the couple divorce, citing gender-based violence and lack of conjugal rights as some of the main causes of the divorce.
She ruled that “This marriage was competing in drinking alcohol. If the other one poops on herself, the other one would attempt to stab the partner and you were endangering your lives without considering your children.
“The court will however divorce you and order that plaintiff compensate the defendant with K15,000.”
