NBS says hackers have taken over their website, Nigerians react
The website of the National Bureau of Statistics NBS has been hacked. The body disclosed this on its X handle in a short post.
The short statement reads: “This is to inform the public that the NBS Website has been hacked and we are working to recover it. Please disregard any message or report posted until the website is fully restored. Thank you.”
The announcement of the hacked website comes barely 24 hours after the data gathering body released damning security stats. Many Nigerians have suspected foul play with the claim of hacking.
