Popular streaming service known for variety of award-winning TV shows, movies, anime, documentaries, and other entertainment contents, Netflix has refuted claims that it is planning to exit the Nigerian market due to the country’s economic challenges and regulatory pressures.
Several media outlets had earlier reported that the entertainment giant left the country after it was unable to cope with Nigeria’s economic realities.
Reacting to the viral reports, Netflix in a statement sent to TechCabal, denied the claim and stated that it remains firmly committed to its operations in Nigeria

The firm further noted that it will continue to invest in Nigerian stories to delight its audience.
The statement by Netflix read, “We are not exiting Nigeria. We will continue to invest in the country’s stories to delight our members.”
