A Kano State member of the House of Representatives, Hon Abdulmumin Jibrin, has claimed he’s confident that President Bola Tinubu’s Tax Reform Bill will be passed by both chambers of the National Assembly despite misgivings from some people from the northern region of the country.
He made this known on Sunday night while featuring as a guest on TVC’s programme, “Politics Today”.
The federal lawmaker’s comments came barely 24 hours after the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) called on federal lawmakers from the region to reject the Bills.

Speaking on the bill sent to the legislators in October, Jibrin, who chairs the House of Representatives Committee on Housing and Habitat, noted that Tinubu, through the tax reform bills and other economic policies, is giving his today for Nigerians’ tomorrow.
He said, “I have never had any doubt about the consideration and passage of the Tax Reform Bills.
“We will pass the tax reform bills.”
