INEC also noted that unlike what transpired in Edo, all the registered areas in Ondo have received their sensitive materials

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has expressed its readiness for today’s poll and assured Ondo electorates that it would not disappoint them.
INEC made the promise on Friday through its National Commissioner Supervising Ondo, Ogun and Osun States, Professor Kunle Ajayi, who featured on Channels Televisionβs programme, Politics Today.
Speaking during the interview, Ajayi said the electoral empire wonβt disappoint the state’s electorates, who are expected to file out to various polling booths on Saturday to elect a new governor who will pilot the affairs of the state for the next four years.
βWe have done our own work, we are proud of what we have done and we will not disappoint the people of Ondo State,β he said.

Ajayi further noted that unlike the September 21 governorship election in Edo State, all the registered areas in Ondo State have received their sensitive materials.
βI want to assure you that everything will do well. As of 3 pm, all the Registered Areas (RAs) all their sensitive materials. The next thing is to move to the Polling Unit (PU). I toured some of the RAs this afternoon,β the INEC National Commissioner added.
Earlier on Thursday, INEC commenced the distribution of sensitive materials to the 18 local government areas of Ondo State in readiness for Saturdayβs governorship election
The sharing was done at the premises of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Alagbaka, Akure, Ondo State, under the watch of party agents, armed policemen, and several commercial buses hired by the Commission.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has also expressed its readiness for the Ondo gubernatorial election, saying it has tightened security in all the local government areas of the state.
