Kamala Harris said “The outcome of the election is not what we wanted, not what we fought for, not what we voted for”

The Democratic Party candidate in the just concluded United States presidential election, Kamala Harris has congratulated president-elect, Donald Trump on his electoral victory.
Former US President Trump won the election on Wednesday after exceeding the magic number of 270 electoral college votes.
According to BBC, Harris called Trump and emphasised the peaceful transfer of power and being a president for all Americans.
The US vice-president after extending the olive branch to Trump, later addressed her supporters at Howard University in Washington, DC.

During the concession speech at her alma mater, Harris sought to reassure them that, while they did not win the United States presidential election this year, the fight is far from over.
Speaking to a crowd of students and supporters, she said, “The outcome of the election is not what we wanted, not what we fought for, not what we voted for,”
She added, “Hear me when I say the light of America’s promise will always burn bright as long as we never give up and as long as we keep fighting.”
