Reacting to the report, Bwala suggested that there seems to be capacity deficiency syndrome in the Ministry of Defence, adding that the minister in charge needs to sit up.  .

He went on to identify poor leadership and coordination of the ministry as some of the factors responsible for the setback

He further noted that the incident happened despite President Bola Tinubu’s support for the fight against insecurity and banditry.

Speaking via his social media page,
Bwala tweeted: “If this story is true, then it is troubling. The president @officialABAT has been giving every support defence needs to fight insecurity, YET poor leadership coordination of the defence ministry is creating setbacks.

“The ministers of defence need to sit up, there seems to be a capacity deficiency syndrome there.”
