Ihedioha pays condolence visit to Iwuanyanwu’s family

Former governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha, has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late elder statesman, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu (Ahaejiagamba Ndi Igbo) at their residence.

Iwuanyanwu, also President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, died on July 25, 2024.

Ihedioha, accompanied by political associates and friends, expressed a profound sense of loss, describing Iwuanyanwu’s passing as a loss not only to the Iwuanyanwu family but also to the entire Igbo nation and Nigeria as a whole.

In his heartfelt remarks, Ihedioha described Iwuanyanwu as an iconic figure whose legacy would continue to inspire generations.

In a statement released earlier, Ihedioha highlighted the elder statesman’s illustrious life of achievement. The press release, issued on July 26, 2024, described the late Iwuanyanwu as a towering figure in business, politics, and leadership, with a legacy spanning multiple generations. He referred to him as a Pan-Nigerian who dedicated his life to the service of his people, earning triple national honors as a testament to his immense contributions.

On behalf of his immediate family, the leadership and entire members of the Rebuild Imo Movement, Ihedioha extended his deepest condolences to the Iwuanyanwu family, Ndi Imo, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, and the entire Igbo race, praying for the peaceful repose of the late Ahaejiagamba Ndi Igbo.

Those who accompanied Ihedioha on the condolence visit included former Deputy Governor, Gerald Irona; key leaders of the Rebuild Imo Movement; and former members of the National and State Assembly: Sir Stanley Ekezie, Lawman Duruji, Ogbuefi Ozomgbachi, Mayor Eze, Thankgod Ezeani, Pascal Uzo, and Pharm Tony Ejieji.

Prayers were offered for the peaceful repose of Iwuanyanwu’s soul and for his family to have the fortitude to bear the loss.
