Olu Jacobs refuted the claims via a trending video shared on popular social media platform, X by his family

Veteran Nollywood actor, Olu Jacobs on Sunday described reports of his death as lies.
The thespian made this known in a trending video shared on social media by his family.
In the clip posted on X, the frail-looking actor was having his hair cut by his son, who asked, “Hello, dad, can you hear me? They said you died.”
Responding to his question, the actor replied: “I can hear, no, it’s a lie – I’m alive.”
Speaking further, his son intimated him that they would be leaving the house soon to have some fun.
“We are going to Ikoyi Club today and they will see you, all those foolish people.” he said.

Several media outlets on Sunday reported that Olu Jacobs passed away at the age of 82, but the rumours were quickly shut down by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).
Also denying the reports, veteran actress and wife of the actor, Joke Silva said her husband is alive and doing just fine
Speaking via a text message after she was asked to respond to the rumours of her husband’s death, she wrote, “My husband is alive and doing just fine.”
This is the second time rumours about the death of the legendary Nigerian actor will be making the rounds on social media.
