Federal High Court of Nigeria annual vacation begins July 23

The Federal High Court of Nigeria has notified litigants, other stakeholders in the judicial system and the public that its annual vacation for the year 2024 will begin on Tuesday July 23, 2024, and end Friday September 13, 2024.
In a release signed by the Assistant Director Information/ICT, Federal High Court of Nigeria, Catherine Oby Christopher (PhD), the annual vacation approved by the Honourable Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, ends on Friday September 13 while proceedings shall resume on Monday September 16, 2024
However, during the annual vacation, few vacation judges will preside over urgent matters in three major judicial divisions of Abuja, Lagos and Port Harcourt.
The release reads: “By virtue of the provisions of Order 46, Rule 4 (d) of the Federal High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules 2019, the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Honorable Justice John Terhemba Tsoho, OFR, KSS, FCIArb.(UK) announces its 2024 Annual Vacation and Roster for Vacation Judges.
“The Vacation will commence from Tuesday, the 23rd day of July 2024 to Friday, the 13th day of September, 2024. The Court sitting shall resume on Monday, the 16th day of September, 2024.
“This is in order for Hon. judges to enjoy their well- deserved rest and to prepare for the tasks and activities of the New Legal year.
“Consequently, the Litigating public will be at liberty to approach ONLY the under listed functional courts amongst the three premier divisions located nearest to them with matters of extreme urgency; Abuja, Lagos and Port-Harcourt
