Super Eagles winger, Ahmed Musa has described the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic as “must win” games.
He made this known while discussing the crucial encounters against the Bafana Bafana and The Cheaters with SCORENigeria.
Musa reckoned it is important for the team to win the two games after a slow start in the qualifiers.
He went on to call on his teammates to give their all in the matches and ensure they get the six maximum points at stake.

Speaking ahead of the encounters, Ahmed Musa said: ”Everyone knows the importance of both games, the players understand what’s at stake and I will want them to go all out and win both games.
“I am upbeat they will do this.”
Prior to this, Super Eagles head coach, Finidi George had hinted that his team will play attacking football during the two qualifiers.
The former Eyinmba coach said so during a recent media tour, where he argued that his team can’t continue to play the defensive football style that got them to the AFCON final with the array of quality strikers at his disposal.
He said: “With the calibre of players that we have, we cannot play that defensive”
The Super Eagles will welcome Bafana Bafana of South Africa to Uyo Stadium on Friday June 7.
They will then fly out three days later for another World Cup qualifier against Benin Republic in Abidjan, the capital of Cote d’Ivoire.
The Nigerian team currently occupy the third position in Group C with two points from as many matches.
