While Dwelling on the theme of the Synod; which is, “DIVINE OWNERSHIP: “THE MAN AND THE MEANS” Synod admitted that the church needs to be reminded of Divine ownership; as it affects the entire Christian race dealing with the acquisition of wealth and it’s management.

Synod urged the church to embark seriously on deemphasizing the menace of material acquisition particularly in a manner which has impacted negatively on the entire fabric of the society.

It advised the church to avoid injustice, wickedness against fellow human, oppression, rebellion against God, conterminated worship, hypocrisy, unrighteousness in whatever form, syncretism and all other ills if it wants to be to guide against God’s law on contentment.

However, Reverend Stephen Adeniran Oni in his speech at the Synod noted that God is the Ultimate ownership of all things in the world, hence the need for all to be contempted with what we have and serve God diligently and honestly.

In a Sermon at the Thanksgiving; The Most Revd, Professor George Latunji Lasebikan (Rtd) noted that God who is the ownership does not accept rivalry or competition with him.

He called on Nigerians to stop limiting God as well as themselves, stressing that God Shows ownership by ensuring that everything human needed is provided within his reach if such Man knows the means around him/her and utilize it meanifully.
