All Progressives Party (APC) chieftain and former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has assured his supporters that the major opposition party in Delta state will dislodge the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) come 2027 general election.

He made the prediction in Ughelli, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State on Saturday while speaking to party faithful who had gathered to welcome him back to the state after serving twice in the senate.

According to him, what made APC to lose the 2023 gubernatorial election to the PDP in 2023, will not repeat itself in 2027.

He said: “We have lost the 2023 general election but I am sure APC will take over the Delta State governorship position come 2027.”

He also stressed that with people’s efforts, APC was able to produce two senators, for Delta Central and Delta South senatorial districts and urged them to continue to support the party at the local, state and federal levels.

Senator Omo-Agege, who sympathised with APC members who died during the 2023 general election campaign, said he has respect for the Supreme Court’s verdict, which declared the opposition party the winner.
