Embattled Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu recently paid a visit to the chairman of the Edo State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Dr Tony Aziegbemi, at his residence.
During the visit, the chairman recounted his ordeals in the hands of his abductors, praying that his worst enemies would never go through what he experienced.
“I would not wish anyone, even my worst enemies, to go through the ordeal I had in the kidnappers den,” Aziegbemi said.
Responding to the PDP boss, Shaibu, who was accompanied on the visit by friends and political associates thanked God for the chairman’s safe return from the den of kidnappers.

The deputy governor, who said his visit was to celebrate Easter with him, also noted that he had a personal bond with the family of Aziegbemi.
“We came to celebrate Easter with our chairman and also thank God for his safe return home from the den of kidnappers.
“I had a personal bond with the family of Aziegbemi. Don’t forget I am the godfather to Aziegbemi’s twin babies,” Shaibu said.
TheNiche had earlier reported that the PDP chairman was abducted by six gunmen at about 11pm at the entrance of his house after a meeting with the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki at the government house on Friday, March 15.
He, however, regained his freedom on March 26, after spending 11 days in the den of the kidnappers.
His abductors were reported to have demanded a N500 million ransom to release the abductee.
