Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Digital and New Media, O’tega Ogra, has said the inclusion of Tinubu’s sons, Seyi and Yinka, in the presidential delegation on the state visit to Qatar is a diplomatic move.

Tinubu is scheduled to visit Qatar on March 2 and 3, 2024.

His sons are among 38 persons who will be accompanying him.

However, the move has since sparked outrage on social media, with many accusing the administration of being wasteful in the time of hardship.

Reacting in a post on X on Tuesday, Ogra defended the inclusion of Tinubu’s sons, saying it is to soften the image of the president in the global community.

He wrote, “It is not uncommon for children of world leaders to accompany their parents on foreign trips.
