Supreme Court affirms Oborevwori’s victory against Omo-Agege in Delta gov vote

Supreme Court affirms Oborevwori, dismisses Omo-Agege’s appeal

Sheriff Oborevwori of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was this morning affirmed Delta governorship winner by the Supreme Court which dismissed the appeal by Ovie Omo-Agege, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) the election held in March 2023.

A five-member panel of the Supreme Court ruled Omo-Agege and the APC failed to prove the election was conducted without substantial compliance with the Electoral Act.

The court is about to commence delivery of the judgment on the appeal by Kenneth Gbagi of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
