Rapper, Oladips shares video online to prove he’s still alive

Oladips also promised to reveal the reasons behind his death hoax once he feels better

Nigerian rapper, Oladipupo Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips, whose death was announced by his management recently, has come forward with evidence to prove that he is still alive. 

TheNiche had earlier reported that Oladips’ management announced in a statement released via his Instagram page on November 15, 2023, that the singer gave up the ghost on Tuesday, November 14.

The post noted that he had been battling with depression for over two years.

“We are saddened to inform the general public that Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji aka OLADIPS has passed away yesterday Nov’14 Tuesday evening, at exactly 10:14 pm. We are still in shock as we speak!

“For over 2 years he has kept his battles within himself, his body is now with his family & funeral service will be announced as soon as it is concluded!

“The family asked that we respect their privacy in this trying time. May God give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss. (Amen) -Management,” the statement read.

However, in a bid to debunk the story, the rapper on Thursday, November 25 shared a video of himself vibing to one of his songs on his Instagram page.

He went on to caption the now l-viral video, “Proof of life.”

Meanwhile, Oladips, on the same day attempted to address the issue surrounding his death hoax during a live session with his fans.

The embattled rapper promised to reveal the reasons behind his action via another live Instagram session but added that this would only take place once he feels better.

He wrote: “Everyone Just dey talk their own, People Like to talk a lot… Right now, I will just focus on getting better; When I feel like I’m good enough to address everybody, I’ll come on live and tell you people my side of the story. Na wetin I com tell you people be that. Pray for Oladips”
