Nuhu Ribadu, Kingibe present as former head of service, Adamu Fika, buried in Kaduna

Ribadu described the late Fika as a patriotic Nigerian who contributed immensely to the development of the country.

The body of the former Head of Service to the Federation, Adamu Fika, has been laid to rest in Kaduna State.

Fika died on Wednesday. He was aged 90.

The funeral prayer, which was held at the Sultan Bello Mosque in the Kaduna State capital, was led by a prominent Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi.

Among the dignitaries present at the funeral prayer was the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, who led the Federal Government delegation and a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babagana Kingibe, among other personalities.

In his tribute on behalf of President Bola Tinubu, Ribadu described the late Fika as a patriotic Nigerian who contributed immensely to the development of the country especially the civil service.

The late Fika served as a permanent secretary of the Police Affairs Department, Ministry of Communication and Federal Capital Territory.

In a statement by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu expressed grief over Fika’s death.

Tinubu, in mourning Fika, recalled the salient roles he played in nurturing the enduring institution responsible for the articulation and implementation of public policies at a trying time for the Federal Civil Service.

He said Fika’s contributions both as head of service and chairman of different civil service reform panels, were indelible in the annals of Nigeria’s history.
