Dino Melaye also said he wants to be instrumental in ameliorating the pains of those living in Kogi state

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the November 11 gubernatorial election in Kogi State, Dino Melaye, has said he survived four assassination attempts.
The former senator, who represented Kogi West in the Nigerian Red Chamber, made this known recently while featuring on Arise Television.
Melaye linked the attempts made on his life to the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC), stressing that violence is in the DNA of the party.
The PDP chieftain also claimed that the APC-led federal government has charged him to court a total of twelve times.

He further asserted that since the APC came into power in the state seven years ago, Kogi people have been under a lot of tension.
Speaking during the interview, Dino Melaye said: “I have survived four assassination attempts; I have had 12 court cases of FG vs. Dino Melaye, and I have been attacked severally. It is not new, as it is in the DNA of the APC to be violent.
“Kogi State is like an evil forest that needs instantaneous redevelopment and needs a messiah.”
The former senator said he hopes to be instrumental in ameliorating the pains of those living in the state.
He also said it has never been this bad in the history of Kogi, as the state is more divided than at any other time in its history.
