Sao Tome and Principe head coach, Adriano Eusebio, has vowed to stop a repeat of his side’s annihilation by the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The True Patriots were pummelled 10-0 on home soil when they hosted the Super Eagles in the reverse fixture last June.
Both teams will clash again in their final qualifying group fixture of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Speaking ahead of the match billed for the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Sunday, Eusebio said his team will fight hard to avoid another heavy.
He said: “We are here to fight and not lose heavily again. We can’t repeat the same mistakes we made in the first game,” Eusebio told the media in Uyo.
“We have nothing to fight for in this game, but we have a chance to try new players.”
Although Sao Tome and Principe are out of contention for a place at the 2023 AFCON finals, they will be playing for pride and trying to avoid another humiliating score line.
