Onana completes United move, set to debut against Arsenal

Onana will now travel with his new teammates to the US where he is expected to make his debut against Arsenal

Cameroon international, Andre  Onana has completed his move from Serie A club, Inter Milan to Premier League giant, Manchester United.

Onana arrived at the Carrington training ground on Wednesday afternoon to finalise his move and is expected to join up with the Red Devils’ squad billed to depart the United Kingdom to the United States for their pre-season tour.

According to The Telegraph, the goalkeeper has been booked to fly to New York on Thursday with his new team-mates and he is expected to make his debut against Arsenal on Saturday, July 22. 

He will also feature against Wrexham, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund later in July.

An official announcement of the deal for the ball-playing Cameroonian goal-stopper is expected to be made today (Thursday).

Onana, who cost the Red Devils a fee of around £47 million, will become United’s new number-one stopper, following the exit of David De Gea as a free agent after his contract at Old Trafford expired.

He once played under United boss, Erik Ten Hag when he managed Dutch club, Ajax.
