Big Brother Naija star and digital marketing consultant, Adekunle Olopade has disagreed with his former friend and fellow reality star, Doyinsola David, who accused him of defaming her character before other housemates.

The duo clashed during the BBNaija 7 season reunion show aired on Monday while discussing what led to their failed friendship.

According to Doyin, who became very close to Adekunle a few weeks into the show held last year, she fell out with him over gossip-related issues.

She went on to take a swipe at him for “throwing his home training away”.

She said: “It’s okay not to like me. But let other people have their own judgment about me. Let them get to know me themselves. Don’t go around telling people about me. It’s not fair. I watch so many clips. It’s so heartbreaking. Eventually, I just realised that he is a trifling human being. He should be very much ashamed of himself,” she said.

“He should be very much ashamed of himself. I think he owes his mum an apology because he threw her home training to the gutters.

“He is a very sorry excuse of a man. And I really think he should be very ashamed of himself. He is being a genuinely malicious and vicious person.

“If you had a problem with me, walk up to me. Give me the chance to explain myself. A chance to maybe apologise. To go around and try to make sure that I am isolated in the house. I really think he needs deliverance.”

Reacting to Doyin’s allegations, Adekunle countered her saying contrary to the impression she gave, she was the one who tried to dent his image before another housemate Allysyn.

He further said he discussed the matter with Eloswag after he caught her with Allysyn “gossiping about ” him.

“It’s okay to call me wicked, I’m a malicious person, my mum should feel ashamed, and all of that,” he said.

“Week one it was four of us. Myself, Allysyn, Doyin, and Dotun were cool. Week two, I used to cook for these people. We were like one. By the time we had moved up to level two, that’s when the problem started.

“There were times when they will be gossiping about me, I will be under the duvet hearing them. Doyin said to Allysyn that I was not sick. That I was pretending to be heartbroken because she had moved up from me. And I didn’t get where it was coming from because we were literally guys.

“There was one conversation that build up to that. At the Saturday night party that we had, Doyin got really drunk. And I took her out of the club. And Allysyn came out and I said take care of your friend and then I went inside.

“The next morning I go into the restroom, Allysyn and Doyin are in the next door. And Doyin goes ‘Ah Adekunle did you see him? He was looking miserable yesterday. I am sure he was not happy seeing you and Hermes together. When they finished I then coughed so that they would know I was in the restroom.

“And then I was sitting down and Eloswag came in and I was like men you know Doyin…Then the conversation came up,” he added.

However, after the show, Doyin clarified her comment about Adekunle’s mum in a Twitter post, when a fan accused her of disrespecting her.

Speaking via her social media page, she tweeted: “I never insulted his mum. My words were ‘he owes his mum an apology for throwing her home training in the gutter’. In other words, she trained him but he neglected the training, so he owes her an apology. If English is your problem, this is a good chance to go back to school.”
