Police spokesman, Adejobi calls for the arrest of popular skit maker, Trinity Guy

The Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has suggested the arrest of skit maker, Abdullahi Moruff, aka Trinity Guy.

The social media prankster is quite popular, having over 457,000 followers on Instagram and 2.7 million followers on Facebook, but his skits are quite controversial as they are sometimes extreme pranks.

Sharing an extreme prank video of Trinity Guy via his social media page on Monday, the police spokesperson said the skits do not make sense because they endanger people’s lives.

He went on to urge those who have been adversely affected by the pranks to report him and his likes to the authorities

Taking to his Instagram page, Adejobi wrote, “This doesn’t make any sense. I think the guy should have been arrested.

“Those individuals who feel the heat and fear of the pranks should be reporting the pranksters as many of their pranks are criminals, immoral, and evil.”

After the post by the policeman made the rounds online, it generated a series of mixed reactions.

An iG user, loro_ace wrote: “Some of these pranks are truly uncalled for. Settle down and make good and enjoyable content.” 

Another internet user, vuvuzelaexposure said: “adejobimuyiwa I am a strong supporter of law enforcement but you got this one wrong. Let’s focus on your badly behave service members pls. These pranksters are all using a script.” 

themainman1963 added: “You can arrest him fine. But did you respond to those videos of your police officers doing nonsense all around since yesterday? Have you arrested them?”

Another netizen, officialresonanceband said: “Hmmm… I think most of his pranks are staged, he wan dey prank the viewers join.”

While spiderdike wrote: “Arrest him for what? Have you finished arresting criminals and other terrorists? Oga go and sit down and stop threatening people with arrests.”
