Popular Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye, of the P-square music group, has disclosed why he doesn’t own a record label like some of his other colleagues.

The ace singer made this known when a concerned Twitter fan asked why he is not running a standard recording studio like Don Jazzy’s Mavin, Davido’s DMW, and Olamide’s YBNL to help young and upcoming artistes.

Responding to the query, Peter Okoye explained that he is too busy with other businesses and would not be able to run them along with a recording company.

He also argued that not every successful talented musician will own a record label.

He tweeted: “I am sorry to disappoint you! It is not every artiste that must run a record label. Some of us are just too busy doing other things. Most especially People Like me. So slow down with your anger. Thanks.”

In 2016, Peter Okoye launched a record label called P-Classic after he and his twin brother, Paul Okoye, parted ways.

However, the studio could not stay afloat and some of its signees such as Singah, and Papii J did not hit the limelight.
