Bovi after Basketmouth denied being AY’s friend, took to his official Instagram page to verify a picture the duo took in 2004

Stand-up comedian, Bovi Ugboma has waded into the feud between his colleagues, Bright Okpocha better known as Basketmouth and Ayo Makun aka AY after a throwback photo of the duo made the rounds on social media.
It all began when AY in an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, revealed that his friendship with Basketmouth went sour after he failed to pay him an appearance fee of N30,000 for an event.
During the now-viral interview, Makun also made other allegations, which included accusing Okpocha of leaving his name out of the guests invited to his wedding.

Reacting to the allegations during a chat on a podcast, “The Honest Brunch”, with actor, Nedu, Basketmouth denied being AY’s friend, saying they have never taken a picture together nor visited each other’s houses in the past.
However, hours after Basketmouth made the claims, social media ‘detectives” went to work and successfully ‘exhumed’ an old photo of the two comic actors.
The resurfaced photo of the duo quickly went viral eliciting mixed reactions from the online community.
Speaking on it, Bovi confirmed the picture was shot in 2004, before telling AY not to be upset with the caption he chose for the photo.
He wrote: “This is Basketmouth and a fan! 2004! AY no vex o! Before you go call Chude for me!”
