Nigeria inferior to Argentina –Maradona

-

Diego Maradona, the man that led Argentina to their 1986 World Cup triumph, has dismissed the Super Eagles, labeling them ‘inferior’ to Argentina.

Nigeria and Argentina will meet in the final game of Group F at the 2014 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday, June 25, and Maradona believes that the only way the Argies can lose to the Eagles is if they are complacent.

“It’s clear our rivals are inferior but this group could get us caught, Maradona said when asked about his country’s chances.

“Argentina haven’t proved they can be world champion. I wish I could tell you they will win the trophy. They have potential. But so do Brazil, Holland and Germany.

“In the national team there are smart people, others not so much. They know mistakes were made and they have to correct them in time,” he said.

Argentina defeated tournament debutants, Bosnia 2-1 in their first game, but it was hard-going at times for Alejandro Sabella’s team.
