AC Milan scored two goals in each half to hammer runaway Serie A leaders, Napoli, 4-0 on Sunday in a game played at San Siro.

Napoli were without the services of their priced asset and goal merchant, Victor Osinhem, who was ruled out of the encounter due to injury.

Brahim Diaz and Alexis Saelemaekers also chipped in a goal each for the rampant champions in the 25th and 67th minutes respectively to move them up to third on the log table, with 10 games to go.

Stefano Pioli’s side with this win also inflicted a third league defeat of the season on the league leaders.

The two teams are expected to renew hostility later in the month when they meet in a two-legged UEFA Champions League quarter-final.

Rossoneri (“Red and Blacks”) will go into the first leg of the European encounter buoyed by the dominant league performance.

Meanwhile, Napoli will be desperate to get their talisman, Osimhen fit for the encounters in order to get their pound of flesh and move to the semi-final stage of the competition.
